A 12-year-old had to be rescued after she fell and suffered a serious leg injury while walking on Bleaklow Moors, on Saturday afternoon.
She was one of a group of Scouts from Market Harborough, who had been visiting the Peak District and hiking in the area.
Members of Glossop Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist, with heavy rain making conditions difficult.
After being treated on site she was carried by stretcher to the team’s Land Rover and driven off the moors to a waiting ambulance and was taken to Tameside Hospital.
Nineteen Glossop team members took part in the rescue assisted by a doctor from Edale MRT.
