FOR 33 years, come rain or shine, cleaner Pam Bagshaw has made sure a Buxton school stayed spick and span.

Pam was honoured last week for her years of long service at St Anne’s Primary School.

The life-long Buxton resident is currently the longest serving staff member at the school.

And she has no intention of laying down her mop and bucket just yet!

Deputy Headteacher Val Trivett said: “Pam has been a wonderful friend to the school and is always willing to go the extra mile.

“She is cheerful, hard-working, reliable... just a star lady.”

Derbyshire County Council Chairman Robin Baldry joined school staff last Thursday to pay tribute to Pam and present her with presents – including a new mop and bucket!

“You should really feel very proud of yourself,” Cllr Baldry told her.

“Thirty-three years is a great achievement. I hope you have enjoyed working for the county council, and that you continue to do so.”

Added Pam: “I love what I do and I enjoy the great company. It is a wonderful place to work.”
