Rededication of Chapel-en-le-Frith war memorial

CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH’S war memorial, on the Market Place, is to be re-dedicated today (Friday).

The service follows extensive restoration work, which includes the addition of the names of those who lost their lives during the Second World War.

The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mr William Tucker, will unveil a plaque following a service of re-dedication and remembrance commencing at 10.45am.

The Service will be conducted by local clergy and wreaths will be laid by the Parish Council Chairman, the Lord Lieutenant and the Royal British Legion.
