A long service award was presented recently to Alan Moore at his home in Grange Park Avenue, Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Alan and his wife, Sheila, were joined by other well-wishers, to mark over 40 years membership of the Chapel–en-le-Frith Male Voice Choir.

He was a leading member of the tenor section and joined the choir under the baton of Vic Handford who preceded Harry Redfern as conductor. During his time with the choir Alan was committee chairman for 20 years. The award was presented to Alan by the choir’s Musical Director, Roger Briscoe.
