HIGH value power tools have been stolen from a building site in Buxton.

Access to two new build houses was gained via a footpath that runs between Macclesfield Road and Lismore Park.

The properties were broken into on Thursday, November 8 at around 9pm and the tools are believed to have been taken away in wheelie bins.

PC Simon Clarke, from Buxton police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who saw two wheelie bins being wheeled around Buxton that evening to contact us. Also if anyone has noticed any bins that have been abandoned near their property.

“I would like to remind members of the public to remove valuable items from building sites and ensure that all sheds and outbuildings are left secure.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police using the non-emergency 101 number. To report crime anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
