Service to mark Corpus Christi

AN annual service is to be held in Whaley Bridge next week to mark Corpus Christi.

The service will take place on Saturday, June 25, at 3.30pm, at Whaley Hall Community of the King of Love with music provided by Whaley Oratory Choir.

Everyone is welcome to attend and the invited guests include the High Sheriff of Derbyshire and the High Peak Mayor, Councillor David Lomax.

The address will be given by Rev Stephen Wild, Chairman of the Methodist District for Cornwall who has also been involved with Cliff College. Rev Wild also featured in the BBC series, the Island Parish.

The service will be followed by a procession at about 4.30pm through the village before the procession returns to the Hall for high tea.

On Sunday, June 26, there will be a service to celebrate the community at the Uniting Church at 10.30am. All welcome.
