Police appeal after crucifix damaged in Whaley Bridge

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following damage to a crucifix at Whaley Bridge.

Offenders entered the grounds of Whaley Hall on Reservoir Road, Whaley Bridge sometime between 10pm on Saturday, May 5 and 5.45pm on Sunday, May 6.

A large gate was taken from its hinges and discarded in a hedge and a 12ft tall, oak crucifix was damaged.
