The first phase of the development involves creating a new offline section to the north of the marina, away from the main line of the canal in a lay-by, on an adjacent field with a moorings for 35 boats.

A new ancillary ablutions block, with six showers, six toilets, a disabled toilet and a laundry room, and 32 car parking spaces to service the marina would also be provided.

The second phase of the scheme would involve realigning and reconfiguring the online moorings of the marina, on the main line of the canal, in order to bring it further offline and create an additional three berths.

At present, the marina has the capacity for 21 boats.

The realignment of the existing northern gate of will form a new road connection through between the two sections, whilst maintaining vehicular access across the track that proceeds onto the swing bridge.
