Pedestrian injured

POLICE are appealing for information following an accident on the A515 in which a pedestrian was injured.

The incident, which also involved a blue Peugeot 206, took place on the outskirts of Buxton in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 42-year-old pedestrian suffered a head injury and was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital, where his condition was described as stable. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The A515 between Brierlow Bar and Heathfield Nook Road was closed from 1.25am until 4.40am.
