The High Peak farming community has dug deep to raise £849 for Newholme Hospital’s Rowsley Ward in Bakewell.
High Peak Livestock Society represents 650 farmers in Derbyshire, who raised the money - from donations of cash and lambs sold - in gratitude for the care received on the ward by its members and their relatives.
Ward sister Liz Violet said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation.
“We are considering how best to use it for the benefit of patients.”
