A new investment is to be made into tourist facilities available within the Peak Park.

Work is due to be completed by next spring on a purpose built camp site, for up to 30 touring caravan pitches and 30 tent pitches, at the Duke of York at Pomeroy.

Keith Jackson, who with his partner Chris Doyle, has just taken over the business said: “We hope it will be completed by the end of March, next year, ready for spring.”

The work to be undertaken includes extensive landscaping and new amenity facilities housed in a wooden pod.

The new site is set back from the road and will replace smaller outdated facilities provided previously.
