Keen dancers are being invited to a charity event in Buxton later this month.

The Dance, There is Nobody Watching event has been organised by the High Peak Oxfam fundraising group.

It will take place on Saturday April 25 at Burbage Institute.

For a minimum donation of £10, guests can join in with five different dance sessions in one afternoon.

The dances are designed for absolute beginners and participants don’t need to have any experience or a partner to join in.

Local dancers and teachers are donating their time and energy to help make the event as successful as last year’s when over £600 was raised.

Jill Stocks, chair of the group, said: “We were very proud last year when Oxfam told us it was the most fun local fundraising event ever.

“We are using a larger venue this year but have decided to keep the numbers the same so there is plenty of room for manoeuvre.

“We hope we will be sold out again.”

This year’s dance sessions are Appalachian Clog, Modern Contemporary, Fitness Fusions-Broadway Musical, Swing Jive and an English Country Dance finale.

Doors open at 1pm with the first session starting at 1.15pm.
