Opera stars performance for High Peak youngsters

The new season of the Kinder Children’s Choir will start with bang as Bux Fizz returns to bring classical music to the people.

The show sees well established opera singers share a concert with he choir.

Now in its eighth year next performance will see Yvonne Howard and Italian tenor, Dominic Natoli take to the stage St John’s Church, Buxton.

Director of the group, Joyce Ellis, said: “The choristers say that it is one of their favourite concerts of the year.”

Kinder Children’s Choirs are now also recruiting Joyce said: “This is an opportunity for children to find their voices, enjoy exciting performances, have fun and make new friends.”

Yvonne is well-known in Buxton from her appearances with the Buxton Festival as well as Kinder Children’s Choirs. She and Dominic will be singing well loved arias as well as joining forces for duets and ensembles with the choirs.

The Choirs rehearse at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church, and no audition is required. Girls wanting to join should go along on Mondays, between 5.15 and 6.00pm and for boys Tuesdays, 5.00 and 5.45pm.
