Buxton musicians are being invited to find out how much their stringed instruments are worth at an event next month.
Online auction house Amati is coming to Buxton on March 2 to offer free valuations at the Old Hall Hotel from 9am to 5pm.
At a previous valuation day, Amati discovered a rare and beautiful cello by Cremonese luthier Nicola Bergonzi, dating back to 1780, which was valued at £300,000.
Valuation days are being held across the UK in the build-up to the next auction viewing at the Langham in London on March 29 and 30, before the auction itself on March 31.
Amati are inviting people in Buxton and the High Peak to take along stringed instruments, including those that have been hiding in the loft, for valuation on March 2.
