Cyclist bit dog walker in incident on Monsal Trail

POLICE are appealing for information after a cyclist bit a 41-year-old woman who was walking her two dogs along the Monsal Trail, near the cycle hire centre at Wye Dale, at around 11am on Friday.

He stopped after she had called out to him to slow down, and during an argument, bit her finger, drawing blood. He cycled off towards Millers Dale station. The cyclist was white, in his mid 60s and of medium build. Call police on 0345 123 3333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
