A parish council has taken the first step in developing a neighbourhood plan to help guide future developments in their village.
Hartington Town Quarter Parish Council has applied to the Peak District National Park Authority to have their village and parish designated as a neighbourhood area.
If approved, work could then start on a community-led plan that can be adopted by the local planning authority.
The application and a map of the proposed neighbourhood area can be viewed at www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplans, or by calling Customer Service on 01629 816200 to ask for a paper copy.
People who live, work or do business in the area are invited to comment on the application by Friday, December 21, before a decision is made by the Authority.
