THE long awaited sunshine led to a busy weekend for Edale Mountain Rescue Team.
On Saturday morning, team members helped the ambulance service with a cyclist who had crashed in Hathersage. The female rider was airlifted to hospital.
Later, they were called to help a climber who had fallen at High Neb on Stanage Edge and suffered hip and ankle injuries. As the climber was being treated, the crew were then called to a second incident where another climber had dislocated his shoulder. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
On Monday, the team helped an elderly lady who had fallen while visiting Blue John Cavern, Castleton, injuring her back. She was treated and taken to hospital.
