EIGHTY people turned out to support a charity fashion show in Buxton which raised just short of £600 for two local good causes.

The event at Buxton Working Men’s Club on Wednesday May 9 helped raise funds for outdoor play equipment for Peak Lodge, a respite and residential centre for disabled children, and the charity Bright Choices, which provides a social club for young adults with learning difficulties.

The modelling was carried out by volunteers, including two young ladies from Bright Choices.

Organisers wish to thank everyone who helped out and attended, as well as the local firms who donated prizes: HGV Direct Parts, Nicky’s Hair Studio, World of Power, Heath Street Car Wash & Valeting Ltd, The Lunch Box and Buxton Working Men’s Club.

In total, the event raised £582.
