A MINI moto painted in the colours of motorbike racer John McGuinness and signed by him has helped raise money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Buxton man David Knowles, who owns the bike, asked the TT star to sign the replica mini moto for him when he appeared at the Stars at Darley Moor event this weekend.

And the interest in the bike, which was displayed on the air ambulance stand, helped raise £726.60 for the charity.

Local air ambulance fundraiser Pete Corbett would like to thank everyone who helped at the meeting, Steve and Lilli Fox for the bucket collection, the marshalls for their help and David Knowles.
