A public inquiry into controversial plans to develop land at Manchester Road in Chapel-en-le-Frith, for housing, has been postponed.
The move has been prompted by the unexpected unavailability of the appellant’s legal advocate.
The inquiry, which was due to start tomorrow (Tuesday), will now be rescheduled.
Barratts want to develop the green field site between Manchester Road and Crossings Road for housing. The firm is appealing the decision to refuse the application made by High Peak Borough Council’s Development Control Committee.
The Planning Inspectorate will now hold a public inquiry, into the proposed development, on a date to be determined.
