VIDEO: Snow causes chaos in the High Peak

Waiting for Video...

Overnight snow has caused chaos across the High Peak with roads and schools being closed.

Many routes, including the A537 Cat and Fiddle, the A53 Buxton to Leek and the A57 Snake Pass, remain closed, while others, including the A515 Ashbourne Road are passable with care.

The Buxton weather website, www.buxtonweather.co.uk, is reporting around 10cm of snow to have fallen overnight.

Schools across the High Peak are also closed. For all the latest school closures, see www.derbyshire.gov.uk.

The Met Office are forecasting more snow for the rest of today (Friday) and Saturday.
