Student’s bag stolen

POLICE are appealing for information after a college student’s bag was stolen from the luggage compartment of a bus.

The bag contained the victim’s purse, college books and notepads full of handwritten lecture notes.

It had been stored in the baggage section of the 199 bus from Stockport to Buxton, which arrived in the Market Place at about 4pm on Monday February 4.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
