Start up B&B owner from New Mills will be on TV
To B&B The Best has just finished filming the pilot series and one episode will focus on Pam Cohen, of George Street, New Mills, who rents out a spare room in her home.
The 58-year-old said: “It is a very odd experience being filmed and one completely out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed it.”

A spokesperson for the show said: “England is renowned for its B&Bs, but some of them are struggling to make ends meet. It’s time to call the B&B rescue team.”
In To B&B The Best, Jean the marketing and property expert, and Pamela, the etiquette expert, team up to visit, and hopefully save, struggling B&Bs that have great potential.
They check in as guests and begin assessing every detail, from advertising to wallpaper, to help get the businesses back on track.
Pam said: “I’m not a typical B&B owner, I just have a little room and want to help people enjoy the Peak District.
“And with the show’s help I have done up my spare room.”

The filming took about six weeks as Pam welcomed the crew into her home and around the town. She also stayed in another B&B to get ideas.
Pam added: “I can’t wait to see it and put New Mills on the map.” The episode featuring Pam will be shown at 11.15am on Tuesday July 26.
