Chapel-en-le-Frith parish councillor Hilary Batterbee has been presented with a commemorative scroll after becoming an honorary townsman of Chapel.

The award was made in recognition of Cllr Batterbee serving 25 years as a parish councillor. The presentation by Derbyshire’s High Sheriff Derek Mapp took place at Buxton’s Old Hall Hotel in front of family, friends and fellow parish councillors. Cllr Batterbee said she was privileged to contribute to the Chapel community.
