Hundreds of runners and joggers are limbering up for the rotary club’s 35th annual Glossop Jog on Sunday, September 29.
This year, the fun run, which starts at 11am at Fauvel Road, Glossop, is in aid of Canine Partners, who provide training assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
The race, which has raised more than £200,000 for good causes since its conception in 1978, involves running as many laps of the course near Glossopdale Community College, in one hour.
Last year, 475 runners took part and the event raised £6,000 for children’s charity Rainbow Trust.
