River rescue drama

EMERGENCY SERVICES are in attendance at the A6 at Topley Pike after two cars crashed into the river.

Three people in one of the vehicles, including two children, have been taken to hospital.

Police, firefighters, paramedics and mountain rescue teams were called to the scene shortly after 9am.

Motorists are being warned to avoid the area.
