Consultation has begun this week on a neighbourhood plan for Chapel-en-le-Frith.
The document has been published by Chapel Parish Council and gives locals a chance to help shape how their town develops in the future.
A six-week consultation will give residents the chance to comment on the plan, before it is revised in light of feedback received and then scrutinised by a planning inspector.
Cllr Liam McCarthy, chair of Chapel Parish Council, said: “The Neighbourhood Plan is a very important document which will ensure that local people are involved in the choices that will shape our neighbourhood for the next 15 years to 2028.
“We welcome the views of local people on the policies contained in the Neighbourhood Plan and the feedback received will be taken into account in the final version, which will be subject to inspection by a Planning Inspector.”
Copies of the plan and feedback forms are available in the parish office and library at Chapel Town Hall.
Comments can be made via the feedback forms, via email to NPLan@chapel-en-le-frithparishcouncil.gov.uk or at www.chapelparishneighbourhoodplan.org before January 31.
