Pick up a copy of your new-look Buxton Advertiser tomorrow

THE first edition of the brand new-look Buxton Advertiser hits the shelves tomorrow (Thursday).

The Advertiser has loyally served the communities of the High Peak, Hope Valley and Derbyshire Dales since 1842.

And your local weekly newspaper will take on a fresh new look and an exciting new outlook when it relaunches tomorrow, Thursday February 21.

We will be introducing an attractive high-quality page design, bursting with all your regular news, sport and entertainments – plus some fresh new features.

This week’s edition will launch our regular eight-page retro supplement Memory Lane. Each month we will delve into our photographic archives to cover a different theme - the first issue is School Days and features columns penned by New Mills historian Derek Brumhead and ex-Advertiser editor John Phillips.

Readers of the relaunched Advertiser will be able to enjoy our new-look postbag, what’s on, neighbourhood news, sport, property and motors sections. You’ll also be able to sit back and relax with our brand new coffee time puzzles page - featuring all your favourites including our popular prize crossword.

Readers can get all of this for the usual price of 75p.

Or you could save even more money by signing up to receive the Buxton Advertiser on subscription. By joining our voucher subscription scheme, you save 25 per cent on the normal cover price - that’s just 56p a copy. Visit www.subscriptionline.co.uk/bad for more information.

To celebrate the relaunch, the Advertiser’s promotions team will be at the Spring Gardens Shopping Centre in Buxton tomorrow, Thursday February 21 between 9am and 3pm, selling copies of the new-look paper, and anyone purchasing a copy will receive a free goodie bag.

Readers will also be able to come along and meet members of the Advertiser editorial team at the shopping centre between noon and 2.30pm. We’d love to hear your feedback on the new-look paper.

Over the next few weeks, we will also be running a series of special local offers in the paper.
