The day got off to a great start for three employees at Swizzels Matlow last week when they won a share of £900 live on TV.
New ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain visited the New Mills factory last Thursday morning for a new live competition feature.
Hosted by the show’s roving reporter Andi Peters, the competition gave lucky employees the chance to spin the wheel of fortune and be in the with chance of winning cash prizes ranging from £50 to £1,000.
Staff member Tony Beverley, who lives in Fairfield, took home £100 while colleague Philippa Lomas, of Whaley Bridge, scooped £300.
And Peter Mycock, of New Mills, won £500.
Swizzels Matlow marketing manager Sarah-Louise Heslop said: “We were delighted to welcome the team from ITV to our Derbyshire factory to film.
“Andi Peters managed time for a quick factory tour to see where Love Hearts are made and chatted to employees.
“The atmosphere in the factory during the morning was great and it really brought everyone together.
“The prizes that were won by our employees were a bonus.”
