Police headed back to class to chat to Glossop students last week about staying safe online and other youth issues.

PC Julian Gallagher from Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Team visited Saint Philip Howard Catholic School and Glossopdale Community College last Tuesday.

The officer spoke to the youngsters about subjects such as sexual exploitation, cyberbullying and the consequences of shoplifting.

He said: “Visits like these are a great opportunity for us to work in partnership with schools and it was great to see such a positive response from the kids.

“We covered delicate issues such as sexual exploitation and cyberbullying as it is really important that we engage with the students about these topics.

“It helps to bring the topic to light by increasing awareness and gave the class the chance to chat in a safe environment and ask any questions.”
