New support centre to open

THE Grapevine Project will be opening its new support centre tomorrow (Friday) at 15 Scarsdale Place - the site that was previously The Community Cafe.

The centre - or Hub - will be open to all people who wish to access support with their mental wellbeing.

It will be a place where people can get practical and emotional support via a wide range of services provided by the Grapevine Project and by other local organisations and agencies.

The Hub will be officially opened at 1pm by local actor, front man of the Wonderland Band and former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley.

Bruno, who played Todd Grimshaw in Corrie and has also featured in Doctor Who and Dalziel and Pascoe, will be on hand to open the new facility and to meet staff, volunteers and customers - old and new. People are invited to go along and join them.

The Grapevine Project is a Buxton-based mental health charity. It runs a number of groups and activities that support people experiencing mental health issues and emotional distress.

If you want to know more about the Grapevine Project, call 01298 72283 and ask to speak to Mark Smith, or alternatively email info@grapevineproject.org or visit the website on www.grapevineproject.org.
