A new book featuring the adventures of furry explorer Solomon the Sheep is helping to promote Buxton as well as a local business.

Written by Amy Whelan, the book features a range of locations in the town including Poole’s Cavern and the Brierlow Bar bookstore, many of which are destinations on tours by the Wonder of the Peak tram. Since being launched earlier this year the tram has proved hugely popular, taking thousands of passengers around Buxton.

The book, priced £5, is on sale at the tourist information centre, and at this weekend’s Winter Wonderland event at the Pavilion Gardens.
