A Gamesley man has been fined for possessing £140 worth of cannabis following a police raid, a court heard.
Karl Crowe, 22, admitted having the class B drug in his possession on May 31 and was sentenced at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Officers entered the defendant’s home, on Bakewell Gardens, with a warrant and seized two bags of cannabis, micro scales and a black Samsung mobile phone.
When interviewed, he said it was for his own private use.
Crowe was ordered to pay a £73 fine, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
