Long-servers are retiring

PUPILS at Whaley Bridge Primary School have paid a fond farewell to two members of staff after they retired.

Assistant headteacher Elaine Stafford, who was also head of the school's enhanced resource, had spent seven and a half years at the school while cook Jean Reynolds had been at the school for 11 years.

Special receptions were held for both ladies.

Headteacher Rick Heys said: "We are very sorry to see them both go and wish them a long and happy retirement."
