Chapel-en-le-Frith’s Blythe House Hospice is once again inviting locals to remember their loved ones through the Light Up a Life appeal.
Lights can be dedicated in memory of someone close to you, or you can take part in the appeal to celebrate an event such as the birth of a child, a marriage or other happy occasion.
All donations received through the Light Up a Life appeal will allow the hospice to continue its work supporting people with cancer or other serious, life-threatening illnesses.
To dedicate a light, complete the dedication form or contact the hospice for more details on 01298 815388.
On Sunday November 17, the Light Up a Life Festival is taking place at Blythe House, when there will be the opportunity to dedicate lights and buy candles, pin badges and Christmas cards and gifts. A short service by the Reverend Richard Mottershead at 3.45pm will be followed by performances from Tideswell Male Voice Choir and the switching on of the lights.
After the festival, the dedicated starry white lights will shine in and around the hospice from 3.30pm to 11pm every night through to January.
The hospice would like to thank Lafarge Tarmac for sponsoring the appeal.
