Hotel group Puma Hotels, operator of The Palace Hotel in Buxton, has announced it has rebranded to The Hotel Collection.
The company manages a portfolio of 21 properties that includes the 122-bedroom Victorian hotel in the High Peak spa town.
The rebranding from Puma Hotels Collection to The Hotel Collection is with immediate effect, with the company insisting the change will have no impact on the day-to-day running of The Palace Hotel, its employees or its name.
Commenting on the announcement, Fredrik Korallus, Chief Executive Officer of The Hotel Collection, said: “The new name reflects our desire to build upon our successful strategy to accentuate the strengths of the individual hotels, many of which, like The Palace Hotel, are iconic properties, well known in their own right.
“We will continue our focus on providing excellent customer service through high quality management both centrally and throughout our individual hotels.”
Originally operated under the name Paramount Hotels, the chain of hotels was leased to Barceló Hotels in 2007, but the Spanish company terminated its 45-year lease agreement in 2012 and the portfolio was relaunched under the Puma Hotels Collection.
