High Peak Scouts
CHRISTMAS seems but a distant memory, but our members are looking forwards.
Plans are in place for their programmes in the coming year. Scout Troops and Explorer Units deciding where to go for their main summer camp and no doubt a few weekends as well.
Beavers and Cubs won't be overlooked planning their activities outdoors. Some of the programmes may have changed to take advantage of the snowy conditions this week.
As a District, we have two major events coming up before the summer
* St George's Day and Promise Renewal in April sees us once more at the Dome.
* The District Camp in May will get everyone together for a weekend of activities – canoeing, climbing, abseiling, bridge building, crafts and even a Tyrolean Traverse – with something new and challenging for everyone.
We certainly won't be standing still this year.
Dave Parker
District Commissioner High Peak District Scout Council
