High Peak man jailed for his part in violent burglary

A High Peak man has been jailed for the part he played in an aggravated burglary on August 16, 2014, in Glossop.

Three men forced their way into a house in Freetown and assaulted the man and woman inside the house.

Luke Turner and Louis Snowden appeared at Derby Crown Court in June 2015 and were sentenced to five and six years retrospectively.

Christopher Gill (23) of Queens Drive, Glossop, pleaded not guilty and his trial concluded on Friday, July 8, where he was found guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
