Grant funding means bright outlook for community

A community has received a cash boost towards its regeneration.

Whaley Bridge Town Council has been awarded a £4,000 regeneration grant from High Peak Borough Council.

The town council will match the amount, meaning in the coming financial year it will have a pot of £8,000 to regenerate Whaley Bridge and Furness Vale.

Suggestions on how the money should be spent will be provided by the community action group Whaley 4wards.
