Ex-Glossop Grammar School pupil Stuart Hall was re-arrested from jail yesterday (Wednesday) and has been charged with fresh child sex offences.
The news comes after the former broadcaster was stripped of his OBE by the Queen on Tuesday.
Lancashire Police confirmed the 83-year-old had been charged with 15 offences of rape relating and one offence of indecent assault.
The charges relate to two girls aged between 11 and 16 and allegedly happened between 1976 and 1981 in Manchester, Stockport, Wilmslow and Sale.
He will appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on November 8.
Hall, 83, was jailed in June for sexually abusing underage girls in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
His 15-month sentence was doubled in July by the Court of Appeal after complaints his term was “unduly lenient”.
