Four Buxton men jailed after major drugs operation

Four men have been jailed for a total of more than nine years following an operation to tackle the supply of drugs in Buxton town centre.

The men, all from Buxton, were sentenced at Derby Crown Court yesterday (Thursday January 23).

A total of 27 people were arrested in December 2013 as part of a week of action following an operation carried out by specially trained officers into the supply of cocaine and mephedrone (also known as M-Cat). Warrants were carried out at a number of premises across the town.

Shaun Ennis, 28, of West Road was sentenced to 20 months, Kyle Waring, 19, of Grove Lane was sentenced to 32 months, Michael Tobin, 28, of Solomon’s Court was sentenced to 32 months and Henry Winslow, 25, was sentenced to 34 months.

Of the 27 arrested, 14 people were charged with offences including being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs. The remainder of the suspects are awaiting court appearances.
