Farm health and safety

The Farming Life Centre has teamed up with Derbyshire Dales District Council to host a Family Farm Health and Safety Day at Bakewell Agricultural Centre.

The drop-in event on Monday October 29 – from 9am -1.30pm will include useful information and practical demonstrations about health and safety around the farm, fun activities and prizes for children, and refreshments.

Jonathan Charlesworth, Farm Business Development Officer at FLC, said “Many of the most common farm accidents involving young children can be avoided by taking very simple precautions.

“The aim of the event is to alert parents and grandparents to potential dangers and give them practical solutions to take away.”
