Food lovers have spoken of their joy after it emerged Nando’s is coming to Chesterfield.
The Portuguese eaterie will open a restaurant in the town in September.
A spokesman for the popular franchise – which specialises in chicken dishes – said: “We’re thrilled to reveal this news.”
The announcement comes after Chesterfield man Chris Cordin, 22, set up an online petition calling for the national chain to move to the town.
He said: “I started this petition because I always had to travel to Sheffield to get a Nando’s – they have three or four of them there already.
“I’m very happy it’s coming to Chesterfield.
“I’m a big chicken lover and glad I won’t have to go far to get my fix now!”
