Twinkle-toed pupils showed off their dancing skills at a spectacular event at Buxton’s Opera House.

More than 400 pupils from secondary and primary schools across the High Peak took part in the popular Day of Dance event on Monday and Tuesday.

Pupils wowed family and friends with a selection of stunning routines to music.

Zoe Hanson, dance teacher at Buxton Community School, said: “It was excellent – the pupils did really well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

“We’re already looking forward to next year’s Day of Dance.”

The event is a project between Buxton Opera House and Buxton Community School.
