Recycling centres across Derbyshire Dales will be removed this week due to a lack of demand thanks to an improved household collection service introduced last year.

The number of bring sites in the borough’s car parks, pubs and shop premises across the borough will be cut from 98 to 26. Today (Monday) banks were removed from Moorhall car park and Newholme Hospital in Bakewell, the Ditch and the Pound Pinfold in Chelmorton, the Quiet Woman pub in Earl Sterndale and the Queens Arms in Taddington. The site at the Bull’s Head car park in Foolow will be taken away tomorrow and those at the lorry park in Litton and Rakes Road car park in Monyash on Wednesday.
