Councillor is suspended from cabinet
Chapel-en-le-Frith and Hope Valley councillor Tracy Critchlow has been suspended from her post as county council Cabinet member for Young People.
The 'neutral act' by the Conservative administration follows revelations in the Advertiser that she had been dismissed from her post as responsible finance officer at Tideswell Parish Council. An Audit Commissioner said she had been "incompetent."
"Further enquires are being made," said County Council Conservative Group Secretary Cllr John Harrison. "These enquiries are ongoing and any decision (on her future as a cabinet member) is not expected to take place this week."
Cllr Critchlow was the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Mansfield at the General Election.
