Glossop Cartons, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of carton board packaging, has scooped a manufacturing and technology award at this year’s Made in the North West Awards.
The Padfield-based firm raced ahead of the competition in a ceremony held at The Park Royal Hotel, Warrington, on Thursday.
The award recognised how the family-run company had seized a unique business opportunity, driving demand for digital cutting and creasing with its recent installation of the Highcon Euclid.
Jacky Sidebottom-Every, sales director at Glossop Cartons, said: “To be shortlisted was in itself a huge feat for us, and we were absolutely delighted to be named the winners in what was an incredibly tough category.
“Digital technology can enable the industry to be more innovative, so we can respond to our customer’s need for products that really stand out, and to stay one step ahead in an ever-changing marketplace. We’re looking forward to new opportunities in the coming year and beyond.
“You can’t afford to stand still in this industry, there is always a requirement to stick your neck out to achieve success and move forward.”
