Cement lorry ablaze on Glossop road

Firefighters from Glossop were called to a cement lorry on fire last night (Friday, July 15).

At around 9pm the crews attended the scene to find the LGV lorry – which was carrying cement – ablaze.

Two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus was used at the scene on A624 near Minks Road, Glossop.

At around 9.25pm a pump from New Mills arrived, and police attended for traffic control.
