Buxton Young Farmers
BUXTON Young Farmers' Club recently visited The Francesco Group Hair and Beauty Salon in Buxton for one of their weekly meetings.
Members were given a tour around the salon and were shown demonstrations on hair extensions and the many beauty treatments on offer.
One brave male volunteered to undergo waxing and the club secretary experienced a chocolate face mask.
Buxton Young Farmers' Club meet every Tuesday evening at St John's Ambulance Rooms, Harpur Hill, Buxton at 8pm.
The club programme is very varied and much of the Young Farmers calendar is filled with competitions ranging from public speaking and rugby to dancing and drama.

Buxton won the Call My Bluff competition, with Bakewell second and Ashover third.
The Ladies Hockey took place on Sunday with Ashbourne first and Bakewell second. Both will be representing Derbyshire at Skegness. Buxton was third.

8 - Area eliminator: Pantomime competition - Majestic Theatre, Retford, Nottinghamshire - 2pm.
13-15 - East Midlands Area Convention Weekend – Skegness (Saturday) Area eliminator: Junior Speaking, Brainstrust, Call my Bluff Junior and Senior YFC Member of the Year, Evening: Ballroom Dancing
(Sunday) Area eliminator: Rugby and Hockey.
