Buxton Talking Newspaper

MORE volunteers are needed to support the Buxton Talking Newspaper.

The service records the Buxton Advertiser onto tape for around 90 visually impaired people every week.

"It is a very worthwhile voluntary service keeping people, who are unable to read the local news, in touch with what is going on," said spokeswoman Liz Morris.

"Helping with this project is not a very time-consuming commitment.

"It involves only a couple of hours on a Thursday afternoon once a month or so ."

The group usually meets in Chinley at 2pm.

For more information, or to become a volunteer, call Liz on 01663 750452.
